God's Providence in South Carolina in the American Revolution

What if the American Revolution was more than luck and coincidence?

You love American history. You have walked the battlefields, read the accounts, and marveled at the unlikely victories that secured independence. But something lingers beneath the surface of the stories you know. The impossible timing, the sudden storms, the narrow escapes. Were they simply fortune, or was a greater hand at work? If you have ever sensed that the founding of this nation carries a deeper, spiritual significance, you are not alone.

God's Providence in South Carolina during the American Revolution invites you to see the Southern Theatre of the war through a Biblical worldview. William Wise examines pivotal battles and forgotten heroes across South Carolina, from Sullivan's Island and Great Cane Brake to Musgrove's Mill, Cedar Springs, Blackstock’s,  and Cowpens. Through careful study of weather, timing, and seemingly miraculous turns of events, Wise reveals a pattern of divine intervention woven into the fabric of American independence. You will also discover the profound influence of colonial ministers who prepared their congregations not only for worship but for war.

Inside these pages, you will find:

• Detailed accounts of South Carolina battles reexamined for evidence of God's providential hand
• The overlooked role of pastors and faith communities in shaping the fight for liberty
• A fresh, spiritually grounded perspective perfect for the 250th anniversary of American independence

Written with passion, reverence, and deep historical research, this book is essential reading for anyone who believes that faith and freedom are inseparable.

Why did Trump choose Evette for S. Carolina governor?

June 1, 2026

The way I see it, Trump should be upset with our state's lawmakers, and our state in general.  We have closed primaries.  Liberal Republicans continue to pollute our state house and senate because they can win their local primaries with liberal support.  Liberal candidates do not win in the general elections in S.C, so the only way to win is to cloak candidates with conservative lingo and muscle their way onto the November ballot each year.  Typical citizens are too lazy to change the Republican leadership.

With liberal Republicans at the helm, it should be no surprise when we:

(1) do not deputize our state law enforcement to assist with illegal immigrants,

(2) we still have tax on overtime,

(3) we still have tax on tips,

(4) we don't re-district and get rid of the token democrat seat that's drawn according to racial boundaries (against the law, and the Supreme Court gave authority to re-draw the congressional districts),

(5) we have a US Senator that votes 47% of the time with democrats (Graham) that will still end up winning in November (what, a 4th term?),

(6) our US Senators do not publicly condemn the Senate leadership (Thune) when he has the Senate gaveled-in every 72 hours while on break to prevent appointments from being approved.  No other Senate leader has done this to his party in the history of our country.

(7) our US Senators do not publicly condemn Thune for holding back the SAVE AMERICA ACT from passing and not nuking the filibuster.

(8) we have two mostly spineless US Senators more interested in their own agendas (which may include carrying a princess wand around disney world) than that of the country and state at-large.  SHAMEFUL

So, Trump is endorsing the weakest RINO with the least amount of political spine.  Evette, if governor, will not be a true leader for the party.  She isn't now, so why would she behave differently with just a new title?  When the brown-noser gets promoted at work, how popular and effective is that person?  NOT.

Maybe that's what we deserve until we can remove the Republican leadership at the state level.

South Carolina's primary elections are June 9, 2026.  There are six GOP  candidates for governor this year.  Here's how I see this race.

Ralph Norman:  a conservative with US House and business experience.  Seems to desire businesses of all types for the state, in communities that want them.

Nancy Mace:  a conservative with US House experience.  She has your crazy ex-girlfriend vibe, but sticks to her conservative guns.  Says she's a Christian today, then swears at an antagonist the next.

Rom Reddy:  outsider from the business world.  Gave Trump $1million, but Trump gave him the snub in return.  If you try to dig into his business background, you may have issues finding anything.  Let me know what you find!

Josh Kimbrell:  good knowing you, but just not enough marketing muscle.  Stick to the state house or senate.  We still need good conservatives there.

Alan Wilson:  he'll retire in public office if we let him.  I wish he was a tough on real criminals as he was when he went after Curtis Loftis in the treasury.  Too much money going to contract-lawyers who are friends.

Pam Evette:  RINO.  Part of the McMaster regime that fights Trump every step of the way; still have taxes on tips, taxes on overtime, and a token democrat district that they conveniently waited too long to 'push' for.  She lives in Taylors but refuses to interact with local GOP office.  Why?
